Center information
The largest reservoir in Taiwan, situated in the valley that borders Chiayi County’s Dapu Township and Tainan Country’s Nanxi township. The reservoir is amidst numerous mountains with a wide surface, creating a magnificent scene. It is the island’s largest reservoir, and the heart of the Chianan Plain.
Tsengwen Youth Activity Center is situated within Tsengwen reservoir scenic area, surrounded by mountains and water, where you can forget about the mundane. It is also an excellent venue for businesses or school to hold education, training, relaxation, ecological observation activities. The center has 72 comfortable guestrooms, including two freestanding villas, suites, and family suites. Spaciously elegant, bright lit, warm and comfortable. Tsengwen Youth Activity Center has a great hall that can hold 300 people, equipped with lighting, sound system, raisable projector screen, projector, internet connection, mobile white boards, and a stage. There are also conference rooms that can hold 30 and 80 peoples that are equipped with white board, sound system and microphones, providing a perfect training and education location. Fully equipped campsite are also available, able to hold up to 800 people. Rental services for all camping related equipment and amenities including tents, cookwares, blankets, etc., are also available.

Tsengwen Youth Activity Center is situated in the Tsengwen Reservoir scenic area, approximately 6km from the dam, There are an abundance of fauna and flora in the area, rare birds butterflies, and hercules beetles make it great for observing nature. This youth activity center is the most rural and closest to nature of all the China Youth Corp centers. The fragrance of the earth, fruits and flowers plus the simple honesty of rural villages makes the Tsengwen youth activity center like an aromatic coffee that intoxicate you.
Tsengwen youth activity center covers seven hectares and includes an ecological area, which is filled with signs of hercules beetles everywhere during June-August, the beetles’ breeding season.
The central building provide free wi-fi (please have your own computer), so that while travelers are enjoying themselves on their holiday, they can still keep up to date with the latest happenings as well as look for any information they need.
【Target groups】
This center, in accordance with the Youth Activity Center residential facility management and safety maintenance regulations, order no. 1030000094B promulgated by the Taiwan youth education department of the Ministry of Education, is established and managed on a non-profit basis, and provide lodging for the following groups of people:
1. Student with valid document of enrollment
2. Adults who are below forty years old.
3. Any individual who are attending activities held by government agencies, schools, NGOs in relation to public welfare, education, service and training, health or culture.
4. Any staff or volunteer with the document of proof issued by the China Youth Corp.
5. Teachers or relatives accompany individuals that meet the first two criteria, which shall not exceed four people.
